Mubende Police Rescue Abducted 3-Month-Old Baby Boy, Apprehend Suspects
Mubende Police have successfully recovered a 3-month-old baby boy who was abducted in a harrowing incident that occurred on the 23rd of this month. The baby boy, whose identity is being withheld, is the son of Magezi Aaron and Nakityo Rose, residents of Kikona Cell, Kirungi Ward, South Division in Mubende Municipality, Mubende District.
The incident unfolded around 10:30 AM when Nakityo Rose briefly left her child alone in their home to fetch water from the nearby stream. Tragically, upon her return, she discovered that her precious child had been kidnapped. In a state of panic, she immediately contacted her husband, who was at work, and together, they launched a search for their baby.
Upon receiving the distressing news, the Mubende Police swiftly initiated a search operation to locate the missing child. Officers combed through the surrounding area and nearby houses but there was no sign of the abducted baby. However, crucial information provided by local children playing in the vicinity led investigators to a person fitting the description of the abductor, seen carrying a child while wearing a cap.
As the investigation unfolded, the police managed to apprehend four suspects believed to be connected to the kidnapping. They are currently in custody, assisting the authorities with their inquiries. The police continue their relentless efforts to identify and apprehend any additional suspects involved in this heinous crime.
SP Kawala Racheal, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Wamala Region, emphasized the significance of community cooperation in addressing such incidents and expressed the commitment of the police force to protect the welfare of all citizens, especially vulnerable children.
