Tragic Road Accident Claims the Life of Mr. Apollo Nyegamehe alias Aponye

NTUNGAMO, July 7, 2023 – A devastating road accident occurred along the Ntungamo-Mbarara Road in Itojo yesterday evening, resulting in the unfortunate loss of Mr. Apollo Nyegamehe, widely known as Aponye. The incident involved two vehicles, a Land Cruiser with registration number UBF 300Z and a FUSO truck bearing the registration number UAZ 767D.

According to preliminary investigations, the Land Cruiser, which was traveling towards Kabale, collided with the stationary FUSO truck parked alongside the road in Itojo. The FUSO truck had experienced a mechanical failure, forcing it to come to a halt. Tragically, Mr. Apollo Nyegamehe lost his life in the accident. His body has been transferred to the mortuary at Itojo Hospital. The two injured individuals were promptly rushed to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for immediate medical attention.
