
Police summons Promoter Bajjo over Facebook video
Andrew Mukasa is also known as Bajjo has been summoned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over a video he released a few days ago, firing verbal bullets at the government.
In the video clip that went viral on social media, the promoter, now turning into a comedian and political activist, shot at the government, accusing it of not paying its works well. He pointed at the case of soldiers and police officers whom he claimed are paid peanuts.
“And I want to ask those in government, big it was your child in police, army and other institutions of government, earning such little money, how would you feel?…,” The Promoter asked, to which he added that they get about 300k to 400k.
Today afternoon, the Promoter confirmed he summon.
“I am here to honor the summon by the police. I was told to report to the CID headquarters over something I am not certain if but I am sure it’s about the video I posted on Facebook…,” he told the media while at Kibuli CID headquarters.
To the youth, it’s easy to record a video and utter any word you like, but remember to consider the law. We have a right to speech, but not everything must be spoken. There should always be a time we should observe and then speak out where necessary.
