The return leg in an East Africa derby
Today 10 October 2021, Uganda will host Rwanda for the second leg at St Mary’s Stadium, kitende at 4 PM.
This games comes three days after the cranes beat Amavubi in the first leg in Nyamirambo, Rwanda. Fahad Bayo the Uganda cranes forward scored the only goal of the match that separated both sides and pushed the Cranes to the second place in the group with only two points behind the group leaders Mali who have Seven.
Micho’s boys will be fighting for a second successive win against Rwanda in an East Africa derby. This will be the 35th meeting between the two teams with Uganda’s 15 wins to Rwanda’s 10 and 9 draws.
However, skipper Khalid Aucho will miss today’s game after getting booked in Kenya and recently in Rwanda. Therefore, KCCA FC right back Dennis Iguma could be the captain today since Murushid Juuko is still on a ban after receiving a red card as Uganda played Mali on match day two.
The match will be officiated by refrees from Tunisia with Haythem Guirat and the center refree, Hassani Khalil and Mohammed Bakir as the assistant refrees.
