Entertainers in Gulu furious over Saleh’s money

Entertainers in Gulu city are not happy with the way Gen. Salim Saleh splashes money to different stakeholders in the music industry, and not pulling him nearer to him.
A few days ago, a list of musicians leaked demanding for a stimulus package from Gen. Saleh’s Operation Wealth creation project. It went viral on social media and annoyed many people across the country. Among those that were left angry were the entertainers in Gulu city because they felt they would have been the first on the list.
Our reporter, Daniel Olara informed us that these entertainers met at a certain hotel in Gulu and discussed on how to meet Saleh and present their grievances.
“They met yesterday at a hotel in Gulu and discussed on how to tell Salim Saleh that they are also entertainers and they also need some money to help them get back on their feet. They were angry to see that Saleh gave artistes from Kampala were given money and they were not given any penny,” he reported.
Of recent, Musicians from Kampala have turned Gulu into a gold mine. The promoters and event organizers got a chank of money a few months ago. Another group of entertainers also went to Gulu to solicit for help too.
It is not yet clear whether these entertainers from Gulu will be given money too. We shall keep you posted on as it continues to develop.
