Fatal Accident Claims Bus Driver’s Life in Mukunyu, Kyenjojo District #FDTvUpdates

Fort Portal- On the evening of July 11, 2023, a sad accident between an Isuzu Bus and a broken-down trailer claimed the life of one person and injured several others. The collision happened close to Mukunyu, which is located in the Kyenjojo District, along the Kampala-Fortportal Road. The bus in question had the M/V UAY 485E registration and belonged to Link Bus Services Co. The stationary trailer had the UAV 326W registration.

Kawawu Dauda was operating an Isuzu Bus when it struck the stopped trailer at about 19:45. There is still no information on what caused the catastrophe. Tragically, the bus driver, Kawawu Dauda, succumbed to his injuries at the scene, making this accident a devastating loss of life.

Upon the collision, emergency responders promptly arrived at the scene and swiftly transported the injured victims to Kyenjojo Hospital for immediate medical attention. The exact number of individuals injured in the accident is currently unknown, but efforts are being made to ascertain the total and evaluate their condition.
