National Youth council joins covid-19 vaccination drive
NYC to run campaigns on vaccination
On Sunday 24th October 2021, the National Youth Council launched a campaign in regard to joining the drive for Covid 19 vaccination in a bit to reach the 4.8M target set.
The campaign is set to involve young people by using their voices, videos famous social media channels like Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp to hence forth kick out the hesitancy by society in getting vaccinated.
Speaking to the NYC secretary, Epitu Gady, he said, resources are a big challenge but they have the capability to push through. “We have enough capacity for the job, what we don’t have is enough resources, but we strongly believe youth can get us the numbers we are looking for in vaccinations as a country.” he said
This follows the strive by different country stake holders to secure Ugandans from Covid-19 and see to it that fellow country men get fully vaccinated as per the directive of the President of Uganda Y.K Museveni. Some of these include Red cross Uganda, Uganda breweries, Vision group, KCCA, among others.
