Willian leaves Arsenal on mutual consent to join Corinthians in Brazil

According to the Arsenal Website, the Brazilian has agreed to join Corinthians FC in Brazil following the termination of his contract based on mutual consent between the two parties.
“We have reached a mutual agreement with Willian to terminate his contract effective from the 30th August 2021,” said the Arsenal website.
The Brazilian international joined Arsenal from Chelsea last August and made 37 appearances during the 2020/21 campaign.
Willian had two more years to run on his contract but following positive and constructive recent discussions with him and his team, he will be leaving for a new opportunity with Corinthians in Brazil, where he began his career said the Arsenal website.
Arsenal also wished Willian and his family well for the future.
The contract termination is also subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
