Uganda Cranes off to Rwanda
The Uganda national football team has set off to Rwanda to face the Amavubi stars on Thursday 7 October before they travel back to the St Mary’s Stadium in Uganda three days later for a return leg on 10 October.
Micho named a sixteen man squad that will take on Rwanda with Khalid Aucho as the captain since Emmanuel Okwi didn’t travel with the team as Coach Micho says that the forward is not fit. Experienced defender Murushid Juko will also miss the game after receiving a game punishment during an encounter against Mali.
Uganda joint second in Group E with two points after two consecutive goalless draws with Mali and Kenya. However, Rwanda are last of the group after losing to Mali and drawing with Kenya.
In a press conference yesterday, the Uganda cranes Coach says he expects to get all the six out of the remaining two games.
“With due respect to Rwanda, our target is to get maximum points from these games, nothing less than that,” Micho said.
The Uganda cranes have failed to score in their last two games and however haven’t conceded.
